FAQs

Find the right lubricant and lubrication strategy.

The correct lubricant depends on equipment type, operating temperature, load, speed, environment, sump size and OEM specifications. LPR can assess an equipment list or OEM manual and recommend the appropriate product, viscosity grade and change interval. The aim is to select a lubricant that provides the required protection and performance for the actual application.  Request a lubricant recommendation.

There is no single lubrication interval suitable for every application. The correct interval depends on equipment type, bearing or component design, speed, load, temperature, lubricant type, contamination and operating environment. Manufacturer recommendations provide a starting point, while condition monitoring and lubrication analysis can help optimise intervals rather than relying only on fixed schedules.

Ask LPR to review your lubrication intervals.

Generally, no. Different greases can use different base oils, thickeners and additive systems, and incompatible combinations can separate, soften, harden or lose their load-carrying and protective properties. LPR recommends confirming compatibility before changing products and following an appropriate changeover procedure where required. Request a grease compatibility check.
